What
you're saying kind of reminds me of 70's feminism.
I
was part of that wild time, coming out of free love and into female power, women
doing it for themselves, a woman without a man is like a fish without a
bicycle.
But
look how far that all got.
Men
still earn more than women, etc. etc.
I
bet you'd say that's because we asked permission for things to change, rather
than just changing them ourselves.
Rather
than just not accepting anything but the change we wanted to see.
Rather
than just leaving male ways of doing things in the dust and beginning to do
things in ways that made more sense, instead of continuing to ask the men in
power to mandate change, or to allow it.
And
if this is what you'd say, you're probably right.
If
every woman stopped living the way her husband or boss or fashion expert wanted
her to, things would have to change, because half the population wouldn't be
going along for the ride...or taking the reins but still continuing on in the
same direction, as we have been.
It's
kind of sad, really.
